  Will the desktop software work on my Macintosh computer?

No, the desktop application is for IBM-compatible computers only, and any disks supplied are in IBM format. You can use the TargetPlot Lite version on your Palm.  The Palm application can be downloaded from our web site, see the Download page.

  Will the software work on any handheld computer ?

There are many different models of handheld computers and they can have different operating systems. For a software program to work, it must be run on the correct operating system. Currently TargetPlot will run on PalmOS and PocketPC handhelds. It will not run on Linux, Symbion, or Java enabled devices.
The software will run on PalmOS v2 or better. There are a few different choices in Palm handheld's, see Palm Links for more information.
We also have a PocketPC version of the software (Click here for more info). This version contains the basic functions, but some of the more advanced features are still being developed.

   Do you send the software anywhere in the world?

Yes, we send the TargetPlot product to anywhere in the world. We use International Air Mail, which can take as little as 5 days or as long as 6 weeks depending on the distance from Australia and your country's postal system.

  What kind of delivery methods do you have?

International Air Mail is our standard delivery method.  You can choose EMS International Courier, or FedEx for an extra cost.  If you can not wait to use TargetPlot, download the software from our web page.

  How do I purchase the software?

  How do I install the Palm software?

To install the Palm application file onto your handheld, use the Install Tool that is provided as part of the Palm Desktop software. 
  1.  Run the Palm Install Tool, 
  2.  Select the User (i.e. which Palm to install to), 
  3.  Select Add, and find the application to install.  You will find the "targetplot.prc" or the "vollespy.prc" file in the TargetPlot Software directory on your PC.  Or you can download the prc files from these links.
  4.  Select Done do complete the Install selection,
  5.  HotSync your Palm to install the selected files to your Palm.

  Why is the Palm data not replicating on my PC ?

Have a look in the HotSync View Log, on either your Palm or PC.  It will list all the operations that were completed in the HotSync process.  

TargetPlot v4.2 has its own conduit and will list "OK TargetPlot" or if there was an error "TargetPlot - < error message >".  For other versions of TargetPlot and the VollEspy software the System conduit is used.  

Some settings to check;
  1.  Make sure that the HotSync Custom settings has the TargetPlot or System conduit action set to " Handheld overwrites Desktop".
  2.  Check that your password is entered in the About box.  Note that the Demo and Lite versions will not transfer the Palm data to the PC.
  3.  In TargetPlot on your Palm you can set the preferences to "Slow Sync all Palm data".  This forces the HotSync process to replicate all the TargetPlot data, instead of only new and changed records.

  I have a HotSync error "Unknown database", or "Can not find object"

There is a known problem in the Hotsync process, the Hotsync Log will display
   "TargetPlot - Unknown database. Alias: targetplot synchronisation failed.", or
   "TargetPlot - Can not find object. synchronisation failed."

To fix this problem download and run the AliasFix.exe program.  This will create the TargetPlot database alias that is required for the conduit to work.

  I am getting an error "Interface mismatch. Engine version different" 

There is a known problem which occurs when installing the software on some PC's.  When the software is run you will get an error message "Interface mismatch. Engine version different".  This indicates there is a problem in the Borland Database Engine (BDE).

Download and run the BDECorrect.exe program.  It will search your hard drive to locate the BDE directory, then rename any old files that are causing problems.

After running the fix program, install the software again. This will create a new BDE directory, with all the files required to run the Database Engine.
